February 2019 was the first time Aline Pelckmans layed on a Skeleton sled, this was on the Königssee track. In October 2019 she competed in her very first competition, this was also the first qualifying race for the Youth Olympic Games in Sankt Moritz, Switzerland.

As a passionate heptatlon athlete she got injured and was looking for a new adventure. At first, she intented to apply for The Belgian Bullets, she, of course, knew the sports from the movie “Cool Runnings”, but the chairman suggested her to try Skeleton. She was not familiar with the sport but after watching some video’s and visiting the track, she knew this was the sport she was looking for.

With only 2 years of experience, she was able to qualify for the Youth Olympic Winter Games in 2020 and she finished 11th.
